Subsidies

The MRC offers full Production Equipment Subsidy to individuals and groups. Please see the appropriate guidelines and application forms.

Community Production Equipment Subsidy

The CPES gives community and arts organisations a 50% subsidy on full hire rates of MRC production equipment, between 9am Mondays through to 4.30pm Friday.

Applications are welcome from registered not-for-profit organisations and charities based in Australia.

Independent Production Equipment Subsidy

The IPES gives independent filmmakers a 50% subsidy on full hire rates of MRC production equipment. Production subsidies are capped at $2500 per project.

Note that this subsidy maybe upgraded to 100% if selected by the MRC’s Members Production Group for further support.

Filmmakers wishing to engage in artistic works that involve at least three MRC members are encouraged to apply for this grant. To apply, filmmakers need to arrange a meeting with a consultant producer to discuss their synopsis/outline and script for the project that includes, the length of the work and the total of MRC members involved in the production.
