This two-day workshop will cover the role and responsibilities of the short film producer. Participants will be guided through the producer’s process from pre-production to delivery.
Using case studies, the workshop will cover such things as rights and agreements, budgeting and financing, the Director/Producer relationship, pre-production, production, post-production and marketing & distribution.

Louise Pascale
Louise’s career began at Banksia Productions over 15 years ago. Since then she has worked in advertising, factual television, documentary, drama and games in Australia and overseas.
In 2003 Louise was a recipient of Channel 4’s new directors commission ALT TV. Her half hour documentary Learning to Surf in Bali aired on the first anniversary of the Bali bombing. While in the UK Louise also worked for Sky TV as an Associate Producer with her work airing across Europe and the UK.
She produced the SAFC short film Swing which won the audience award for Best Short Film at its premiere at the Adelaide Film Festival, Best Film at St Kilda Film Festival and was nominated for Best Short Film at the 2007 Australian Film Institute Awards.
Louise currently has a Screen Australia & SAFC feature documentary, Sons & Mothers in production and a transmedia project in development. Outside of the film industry, Louise also works as a freelance journalist.
