So you think you’re the next Spike Jonze, Michel Gondry or Chris Cunningham?

Then Clip It! is THE production initiative for you!

The Members’ Production Group (MPG) is a professional development initiative of the MRC. The MPG makes it easier for MRC members to make films, videos and digital media projects, by providing fully subsidised access to MRC equipment and facilities, including their new DSLR camera and L-series lenses.

This MPG initiative aims to assist MRC members conceive and produce a music clip for a local band and interpret this song in a creative and resourceful way.

Up to ten (10) music clips will be supported with $2,500 worth of in-kind investment to be used on MRC equipment and/or facilities hire, as well as a DSLR camera kindly supplied by Canon Australia.

Genres could include Rock, Indie, Pop, Alternative, Dance, Metal, Hip Hop/Rap, etc.

Clip It! launches Wednesday April 20th at 6.30pm with an information session at the Mercury Cinema.

This will be followed by two more music video seminars on
6.30pm, April 27th – Music video genres & archetypes
6.30pm, May 4th – Production case studies with Q&A
