Silent ReMasters
Live Accompaniment to classic silent cinema

The Silent ReMasters program is organized by the Media Resource Centre and is presented as part of the Adelaide Cinémathèque at the Mercury Cinema. The program has been created to foster the development of our local musicians and composers looking to work in the film industry. Successful applicants will compose a score to one of the silent film sessions within the programs and perform it live at the Mercury Cinema.

The films are:

7:30pm Monday 21 November -THE WOMAN SUFFERS and THE MENACE
7:30pm Thursday 24 November – THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME
7:30pm Thursday 28 November -MAN WITH A MOVIE CAMERA
7:30pm Thursday 1 December – CHARLIE CHAPLIN’S SHORTS

Interested parties are asked to complete the attached entry form and submit supporting materials for consideration by the selection panel. Successful applicants will be notified in writing in early November. A nominal fee of around $1000 will be awarded to successful applicants, however the main benefit will be the experience and exposure gained from participating in the project.

Silent ReMasters is presented with the support of the Australasian Performing Rights Association (APRA) and Allans Music + Billy Hyde.
